Melanie's Story: Itty Bittys Confidence

by Valentina Rivera

“The first step to build confidence is to accept yourself as you are”

“When will my boobs grow? Why this happened to me? How can I grow my boobs?” These are some of the questions Melanie asked herself on a regular. Questions that probably many of us have asked ourselves too.

For Melanie, her small boobs were her biggest insecurity. Fortunately, we started seeing the bright side of having small titties,  and slowly but surely, started feeling more confident and no longer be ashamed of her body and her size.

Is Melanie's story similar to yours? If yes, this video is for you. Watch her telling you her story or just continue reading to get inspired!

Perfezione: What do you think about small boobs?

Melanie: Well, for the longest time I felt insecure about my bust because it is small and I remember when I went bra shopping for the first time I was the smallest size in Victoria’s Secret and that made me feel very insecure.

All my friends have bigger breasts, even my mom and grandma and I also wanted them bigger. I asked myself “When am I going to grow? Why is this happening?” But after many years of hearing my mom complain about back pain, sometimes she found a nice top but her breasts were too big for it she couldn’t even close the shirt and I never had those kind of problems or she couldn’t wear al type of shirts.

And I could wear any or I could go braless and nobody will ever notice and since then I started to see my breasts in a positive way and start loving my small boobs.

Perfezione: Have you ever felt insecure when being intimate?

Melanie: Yes, for sure. I’ve felt insecure with boys because I remember that my ex-boyfriend used to follow a lot of girls on IG with big boobs and big butt and I don’t look like that so I used to be self-conscious about it, maybe he likes more voluptuous girls? With more curves? And I am not like that, what about if I do surgery?”

And all those questions start to pop up in my head and now with my new boyfriend, one day I asked him: What if I put on implants?” And he said “No, I think you look beautiful like this. If that’s what you really want that is fine, but I think you look gorgeous like this”. And I think that because of him and also myself, I now feel more confident about it

Natural, beautiful and confident

Perfezione: Do you think society influences in the way you perceive your body?

Melanie: Yes, for sure! I feel society has influenced in the way I see my body.

My boobs and weight and also because agencies look for “skinny” models and also my tummy because I don’t feel that I have a flat tummy and everybody says that guys love girls with big boobs, abs and big butt.

And when you go to the gym you can grow your butt and legs and well abs as well, but requires a specific diet, but you can’t grow your boobs. I even remember googling “How to grow my boobs naturally”?

Perfezione: What do you love the most about your small boobs?

Melanie: Well, what I love the most is that I can wear anything, any top or shirt, I love it.

If I want to wear it with or without a bra, with bralettes or nipple covers, I can. I won’t look “vulgar”; I don’t have to worry about somebody staring at my chest. I know that any shirt will fit without problems and I love that they are so perky.

They are small but perky. I feel that they go with me and my style. If I would have them otherwise maybe I’d even be a different person. They are part of me, I’ve learned to accept and love them as they are and I actually love how they look aesthetically.

I feel that I can easily find bikini tops, those kinds of things. And I’ve learned to love them and to feel more confident about them

Because having small boobs is something
to be proud of

Perfezione: What would you say to someone who doesn’t have confidence?

Melanie: I’d say that confidence is something you build, it is a process, it takes time and the first step to build confidence is to accept yourself as you are.

Once you accept yourself you can see that goo in you and grow. You will see the perks and downsides of having small boobs and I think that’s how I built confidence because I saw the perks.

I mean, how cool is to wear deep-v shirts, I can go braless and nobody will notice. There are so many perks and you will see them over time. It won’t happen from one day to the other but you can start loving yourself as you are and do not let anybody nor society or men convince you otherwise.

Love your body exactly as it is. It is a process and it will take time.

There are days were I wonder  “How would’ve I looked like with bigger boobs?”  But then I remember how comfortable I am with them... So I just try to love yourself as you are, flaws and everything and that would be my best advice.
